PM dissolves cabinet appointed only few weeks ago due to internal pressure and wider international community.
Mogadishu, (insidesomalia.org) - Speaking to the legislators in Baidoa, the official site of the Somali Parliament, the newly appointed Prime Minister Nur Hassan Hussein said that he is planning to dissolve his cabinet.
The PM said that he is to appoint new ministers, half from outside of the parliament and much fewer than the current 34 member of the cabinet.
The PM show is under pressure from the international community to expand the number of the cabinet chosen from the outside of the parliament.
‘After meeting with my ministers I decided to form a new government” Said Somali Prime Minister Nur Hassan Hussein at a press conference in Baidoa.
Mr. Nur Adde replaced former Prime Minister Ali Gedi last month and recently appointed a new cabinet in November. This cabinet is short lived and adds more uncertainty about future direction of TFG.
The fragile Somali government is weakened by insurgency fights and clan feud despite it’s dependency on International aid and Ethiopian military support to operate.
